OUR BLOG NAME?
Our blog name is based on two things. First, “home is where the heart is.” Second, this clip from the movie Joe Dirt*! 🙂

If home truly is where the heart is, then my home is with Glynn. HE has MY HEART, and I HAVE HIS! …and if home truly is where you make it (as the Cajun man suggested), then why can’t home be where you take it? We enjoy taking our camper out about every other weekend once the weather warms up. We also try to take a couple of week long vacations every year (RV or otherwise). Whether we’re living out of our camper, our backpacks, or a cruise ship cabin, HOME…for us…is often WHERE WE TAKE IT!
…and so, our blog was named. Who would’ve thought a blog name could come out of that silly movie? It’s a true story though! I love my husband; he loves his wife! We aren’t a picture perfect couple, but we love each other and have lots of fun together. We are always at home when we’re together…so HOME IS WHERE WE TAKE IT!
We began this blog with one thing in mind: to create financial freedom to be able to travel more often and bring you more great content! We hope you enjoy our sense of humor and stories. Photo-bomber EXTRAORDINAIRE!
This is a man who loves to have fun! You can often find him photo bombing people EVERYWHERE! No joke…even in Jamaica! He has been a hairstylist since 1985; a husband since 1991; and a FANTASTIC father to our 3 kids! He loves water, relaxation, and golf. He has an amazing skill set from working on cars to some pretty serious carpentry skills!

Jack of all trades…Master of NONE!
I have a number of what I call: USELESS HUMAN TRICKS! They really aren’t useless, or tricks…just stuff I know. I travel and I know things, what can I say?! The skills that most define me are: wife, mother, guitarist, artist, website builder, computer user, handy DIYer! I’d have to say the first three are not just what I do, but who I am! 🙂
